Adventures in Saying Yes: A Journey from Fear to Faith by Carl Medearis

★★★★★
Experience the adventure of a life without fear.

This is the story of a normal family of five that has lived a very unusual life. The Medearis family has had to deal with Middle Eastern prisons, death threats, being kicked out of two countries, war, and even death. It hasn't always been easy, but in the midst of it all, God never left their side.

But overcoming fear and living a life of wonder and bold faith is not just for other people halfway around the world. God wants each one of us to live to the full, wherever we are, not letting doubt and worry stand in our way. This is a manual to help you begin your own adventure. It's a call to live a life free of fear. To boldly do what God is calling you to do – wherever you are.

Adventures in Saying Yes: A Journey from Fear to Faith by Carl Medearis is an inspiring and interesting book, rooted in personal experience and spiritual truths, about allowing faith in God to overcome any fear. Throughout the book, Medearis shares how his and his family’s lives  have been influenced by simply being willing to say “yes” to God when an opportunity presents itself. His examples from life experiences, focusing on their years living in Beirut, are fascinating in their boldness and incredible outcomes. An all-around encouraging and quick read, Adventures in Saying Yes is worth a read.

Thanks to Bethany House, I received a copy of Adventures in Saying Yes and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.
